Li Chevalier

Born in Beijing, Li Chevalier is a French painter and visual artist, who graduated from Central Saint Martin’s College of Arts and Design. Her transcultural, multidisciplinary artistic journey has been evolving in relationship with the musical world. In 2007, Li Chevalier exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts and her first monographic exhibition took place at the National Art Museum of China in 2010. Other solo shows followed at the Fine Art Museum of Shanghai (2011), Chinese National Opera (2013), Centre d’Art Contemporain la Base Sous-marine in Bordeaux (2014) and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome (2017). Her multi-media installation Obscure Clarté has been presented in 2018 by the Museum Complex Santa Maria della Scala in Siena.
